I love the illustrations！ I think it was perfect to start off with “one love” being just her & her dog in her room - starting with herself and than connecting that love to her family， friends， nature， community。 You might read it by noticing that as you read。It would have been nice at the end where there is Bob Marley’s photo depicted with a small description - to have shared something here about the meaning of this song for Bob Marley - maybe about the religion he practiced， a bit more about hi I love the illustrations！ I think it was perfect to start off with “one love” being just her & her dog in her room - starting with herself and than connecting that love to her family， friends， nature， community。 You might read it by noticing that as you read。It would have been nice at the end where there is Bob Marley’s photo depicted with a small description - to have shared something here about the meaning of this song for Bob Marley - maybe about the religion he practiced， a bit more about his culture or personal life and maybe a quote by him to end that sort of gives a felt sense of his work and this song。 。。。more

I appreciate the intent of the book to capture Bob Marley’s message from one of his daughters。 I also really appreciate the artwork of Vanessa Brantley-Newton。 Thanks to the authors note I was able to see the illustrations of cleaning up the community。 Unfortunately， I read it on the Libby app， through our library so the pictures were too small。
